Honor target

The target was made on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Zschopau shooting club in 1927. It belonged to the club, which in 1902 was still called "Tesching-Schießgesellschaft". The club was named after the small-caliber weapon "Tesching", which was used as a sporting weapon in the 19th and 20th centuries.
The anniversary disc was found in 2005 during construction work at Ludwig-Würkert-Straße 8 in Zschopau. The decoration painter Karl Sowa painted the pane. He was born in Groß Wartenberg, in today's Syców, in 1888. In 1913 he got married to Zschopau and owned a shop in the city until 1958.
